Focus Stacked Gigapixel; A Really Neat Idea

Would be interesting to create a focus stacked gigapixel time lapse or video. Or at least, create a focus stacked photo in HDR that's composed of hundreds of megapixels. Based on how quickly technology is evolving, I think that it will be a possibility, definitely within my lifetime, using technology. Sigma has developed the three layer sensor to have higher resolution using essentially less pixels; so why not combine that sort of technology with pixel binning, and/or pixel shift technology? You could have a 5 megapixel sensor, but with three layers, to create 15 megapixels, then further, you could have pixel shift to create a 60 megapixel photo! Use a narrow lens to create a photo of wide angle from that lens, such as a telephoto, to create an image that consists of many more pixels! For instance, you could merge ten photos, each made using the pixel shift method, to create a photo of (60 times 10 megapixels) 600 megapixels; that's more than half of a gigapixel! For example, you could use a 200mm lens, to create a photo resulting in an effective focal length of 10mm; imagine hpw many pixels that would create!!!!
