To Sum Up 2017
That's it! Time to sum up 2017. This may take a while! This year brought with it many interesting science stories, and nearing the end of the year, or for about the past two months, the climate and weather started to do some interesting things here on Earth! There are also other things that I had written, although science and weather stories so far seem to be the most popular among readers, garnering up to about 400 views per day on rare occasion. The weekly views have recently been more or less stable at about 1,000 pageviews per month. Anyways, Here's a summary of many of my posts, starting from the earliest to some of the latest!
Science:
Early on, I had my own theories about science and have written more about my own ideas, rather than posting links to sources. On July of 2017, I wrote the post entitled "Escaping Technology; The Next Revolution Will Not Be About Technological Advances, But Magic! Plus, The Lust For Technology". Before I go any further, I'd like to say that I won't be going into detail about each post, as each one can easily be found to the right of the blog under month name. Now, getting back to my post, at one time or another my post resonated with what happened later on, because sometime after I wrote the post (I haven't found the link/post yet) I came past a link in which it was written that the future would be about something other than technological advancement! Let's hope I can find that article (I just found the connection!). https://singularityhub.com/2017/11/19/how-technology-is-leading-us-into-the-imagination-age/?utm_source=hub&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=xthinkers&utm_content=nov-week-4&mkt_tok=eyJpIjoiTWpReE16Y3paVE5oTUdNNSIsInQiOiJpeFY4aE11K1JPdUVDMVJNMFNib1JNOFYxSEZqUkN1eFF6cnl4Y2lxemEwbHFGYmhKRlwvVEpwdnRSOHRwcmJORWZKZkVsOGozK0tSdFV6dGVtZGpkWXZtcWI4Q3VGZ016aUw4RTJvQ2RtK0hjRFpVajF0TzI3U1djREpsZVh0dzEifQ%3D%3D
In October, I had posted about an author that had stated that we are on the road to totalitarianism. I also posted a link to the fact that psychedelic drugs induce a higher state of consciousness: https://tonic.vice.com/en_us/article/3d9kv5/psychedelic-drugs-really-do-lead-to-a-higher-state-of-consciousness?utm_source=vicefbus. We also found out that:
We can use the mind's "delete" button!
Google's AI program is supposedly like an alien civilization inventing it's own math.
we found out that climate change may be making the world a better place.
Cern physicists have concluded that there shouldn't be a Universe.
Daydreaming induces creativity.
Being forgetful is a supposed sign of intelligence.

An earthlike planet has been discovered only 11 light years away.
We found out that the brain is a quantum field.
We found out that Earth is slowing down, causing more quakes.
We learned that solitude as a competitive advantage.
There's antimatter in Earth's atmosphere.
Scientists have discovered light detection particles outside our eyes.
Extraterrestrial bacteria may have been found.
Strange radio signals have been detected from space.
Earth's mantle supposedly cooling quickly.
Radio pulses could be sign of alien life.
Very recently, people have learned about solar paint: https://www.treehugger.com/gadgets/hydrogen-solar-supercapacitor.html Also, a post has come out about connecting to wifi using plastic without electronics.
The weather:
Major brief warm up in Northern Greenland, unusually mild temperatures in America (and Alaska), as well as record snowfall in Alaska, followed by extreme cold from the Yukon to the east coast this December that sent temperatures tumbling by so much that the contrast of temperatures (temperature difference) caused Montreal, and maybe other places, to be colder than the North Pole, while Europe stayed quite warm and Asia was about normal. Alaska almost had it's warmest december on record, and record snowfall this December in Erie, Pennsylvania, as well as the largest fire in California history. Also, early in December,
